A far back love story.

Petru, a brilliant and talented architect, lost out in love and career to the same man. In spite of her deep-seeded love for Petru, Anda chose to marry his career ‘rival.’ A fateful moment brings them together years later, allowing them to reconnect over the love they once shared and their unfulfilled destinies. Way ahead of its time for Romanian cinema yet fully aligned with the elliptical, psychological formalism of its European counterparts (Renais, Antonioni), Meanders was pulled from theatres shortly after its premiere, remaining to this day an underseen masterpiece.

Meanders is part of Family Portraits.
