I Dance with My Camera on My Finger is a collection of archive footage by Sardono W Kusumo. Shot with his 8mm camera, Sardono W Kusumo explored his ethological films of the 1970s when he travelled many islands throughout Indonesia, as well as some countries in Asia and Europe. The film captures Nias society, Kecak Dance in Bali, documentations of Borobudur Temple, choreography of Sardono W Kusumo under Eiffel Tower in Paris, Affandi’s drawings in Japan, and sundries. Since 1970s when he was a young artist,

Sardono W Kusumo has been actively using his film camera until now with the new invented digital technology. Entire documentations captured by the maestro, Sardono W Kusumo, have become invaluable archives, how life values, arts, and cultures are captured personally by the eye of camera. The digital transfer of the 8mm was commisioned by the Singapore International Festival of Arts, and was exhibited for the first time at Malay Heritage Center, Singapore in 2016. A newly edited film entitled I Dance with My Camera on My Finger, using the archival footage, will make its journey to EUROPALIA 2017.
