The Ghent University Botanical Garden is home to a number of plants originating directly from the Indonesian jungle. Explore the wonderful world of exotic plants and learn numerous anecdotes about them, told by Indonesian students.

A narrator tells two unforgettable Indonesian folk stories in which a cucumber and a Spice-stir-me-do not play a role. Listen to the beautiful story of a little girl and a big giant, and to the adventures of a shy prince. Duration 45 min.( allowing parents to let their children listen to stories while following the tour).

Indonesian snacks, available for democratic prizes at the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) stalls in the garden.

Chocolate and Cinnamon

From 14:00

Some Indonesian students at the Ugent explain the audience about their research into chocolate and cinnamon. Arifin Dwi Saputro and Dimas Rahadian Aji Muhammad tell you everything you want to know about chocolate, while Sidi Rana Menggala explains the commonly used spice cinnamon.
