Basiani Ensemble / Chamgeliani Sisters

The meeting of two polyphonic traditions.
The male Basiani Ensemble will revive Georgian folk songs and Christian hymns dating back to the 11th and 12th century, while the Chamgeliani sisters, accompanied by their chuniri (three-stringed spike fiddle), will perform traditional songs infused with the legends of the Svaneti province.

The Chamgeliani Sisters will also perform with Didgori Ensemble at Muziekpublique.
