Cristina Garrido’s multidisciplinary work investigates the ways in which art is defined culturally, digitally and institutionally. Recurring themes include the relationship between art and cultural narratives, the impact of technology and the influence of viewer subjectivity. In The White Cube is Never Empty, she dialogues with the architecture of the MACS, its curatorial history and the collective memory of its visitors. With this immersive work, she explores memory, time and authorship, while simultaneously reflecting on the Museum’s role in shaping art history.
