Iván Zulueta’s (1943-2009) oeuvre encompasses graphic design, experimental film, photography, television and painting, characterized by a mix of surrealism, pop art and an almost tangible sense of the ephemeral. Rooted in the 1960s and 1970s counterculture, his art combines avant-garde aesthetics with personal obsessions. The exhibition offers a journey through Zulueta’s prolific output, while presenting new works by contemporary Spanish artists – Marta Azparren, Esperanza Collado, Julio Linares and Beatriz Lobo – in creative dialogue with Zulueta’s legacy.
