In Mariana, contemporary dancer and 2024 Spanish National Dance Prize winner Luz Arcas braves for the first time a physical, on-stage encounter with flamenco, flanked by a mixed group of musicians, with and without flamenco backgrounds. Her starting point is the complex relationship between humans and (working) animals, and the flamenco music that was traditionally sung and played during festivities, and when breaking in and working with animals in the field.
