Marco Mezquida

This versatile pianist, improviser and composer is one of the liveliest figures on the Spanish jazz scene. Collaborating with a wide range of artists from Spain and elsewhere, has recorded a considerable body of music, both solo and with others, and has performed all over the world. With his spectacular mix of melodic sounds, tango, flamenco and bulería, Mezquida makes every moment as intense and fresh as possible. Folklore gives his music a special colour, but the heartbeat of each piece is defined by modern jazz with its artistic tensions.
