One is a playwright and documentary maker, the other one of the greatest flamenco dancers of our time. Both explore a deeply personal and at the same time universal theme: the difficulty of showing oneself to one’s father as one really is. Despite their artistic freedom and public recognition, both continue to conceal certain aspects of their lives from those who saw them grow up. In a combination of intimate theatre and flamenco, they disclose what has remained unspoken, between public frankness and family silences. Through memories, they question with humous the place of parents in an artist’s career.
