Momi Maiga

Momi Maiga, from Senegal, is a virtuoso kora player, a fluent vocalist and an ever- curious composer with great musical sensitivity. Combining ethnic jazz, flamenco and hints of European classical music, he sings mainly in Mandinka and Wolof, using music to touch on important themes of our time. His 2022 debut album Nio was followed by over 70 concerts. In 2024 a second album, Kairo, was released. Momi collaborates with talented musicians, including Catalan percussionist Aleix Tobias Sabater, cellist Marçal Ayats and Mexican violinist Carlos Montfort.
