Nuria Guiu / Ingri Fiksdal – Medium

Every culture has rituals in which the body becomes the instrument or ‘medium’ for communication between the dead and the living. The body is possessed, and the spirit manifests itself through voice, music, movement or dance. In Medium the ghost is in part a metaphor for movements from other times and dimensions that return and take physical shape in our bodies. But it’s also understood as the act of creation itself: from the invisible realm to its physical manifestation in a performance, invoked or brought back to life after the death of its creative process.
