Algo se cruza en las palabras al escavar bajo los pies

This project has its origins in the maternity hospital of Elne, France, founded in 1939 by a young Swiss teacher and nurse for Spanish women fleeing the Spanish Civil War. It reflects on the impact that the actions of a single individual can have on society, and examines the oral transmission of family history and mother tongues in a context of displacement. The form of this project resides not in a fixed work, but in the movement it initiates, the narratives it gathers and the spaces it opens for thought, imagination and memory.
