This performance unfolds across various spaces at Bozar, where students from deSingel’s Bachelor of Dance programme present a series of living images, inspired by Francisco Goya’s Los Caprichos and Los Disparates, merged with gestures borrowed from social media. Goya’s disturbing, satirical world collides with the performative aesthetics of digital culture, both of which reflect systems of pressure, illusion and control. These embodied archives are presented in a shifting loop, the dancers’ bodies creating a tension between forced positivity and dark realism.
