For DRUMMING XXL, P.A.R.T.S teams up with the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris and École des Sables, the International Centre for Traditional & Contemporary African Dances, founded in Toubab Dialaw, Senegal by Germaine Acogny.

DRUMMING XXL, brings together 65 performers from the 3 schools, for this exceptional version of Drumming, created in August 1998 by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Rosas, to the music of Steve Reich.

For europalia art2gether, the dancers from the various schools will work on a new version under guidance of Clinton Stringer, recreating several sections of the original piece, making their own transformations of the original material, creating duets and trios, and using the underlying structures of the original choreography to create new constructions.

Keep an eye on our communication in the days leading up to DRUMMING XXL, as this is an outdoor performance and weather conditions might impact the schedule.

As part of the europalia art2gether, in partnership with EU2024BE, the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the City of Brussels.
